News-sites - categories and criteria

The below categories are not to be submitted in, when an entry is submitted, but are merely a way of creating an overview of the entries.

This would mean, that a newspaper can indicate in which of these categories they think their submission should belong to. An entry can belong to more than one category and can be awarded in any category that the jury may seem fit. The judges do not have to give a prize in
each category.

The judges can choose to re-arrange submitted entries into other categories as they see fit, and if all judges agree upon this.

Categories
 

- Best Frontpage.
- Best Sectionpage.
- Best Articlepage.
- Best Theme (feature, story, subsite or page).
- Best Application (e.g. web-tv, maps, community etc.).
- Best Overall Site Design (based on media-brand)
- Open class (anything not fitting in other categories).

- Best Mobile Site

Criteria
 

The websites are judged according to how well these four criteria are being used in the specific category:
 

- Visual design
- Interactivity
- Usability & structure
- Journalism / editing
 

Best Mobile Site will be judged on same criteria plus that the site can be used on a broad range of mobile devises.
