 It is time for SNDS to go north next year. Finland is the country, Oulu is the city and Kaleva is the host of the seminar.
But if you believe that you will run into Santa Claus and his reindeers when you arrive, you are mistaken.
Oulu is both a university city and a high tech-centre. Going from the airport to the city you will notice some of the biggest high-tech trademarks in the world, and the most important - Nokia of course.

Oulu is one of Europe's leading cities in media technology. We have Nokia of course, but we also have LudoCraft, a company which studies games and applies the theoretical knowledge on game design. The approach combines theoretical, technical and artistic expertise in serving both the academic and the practitioner communities. The mission of LudoCraft is to distribute the knowledge of analytical gamers and game designers for the benefit of a wider audience.
4. Blow your mind: How to organize the most effective newsroom!
News is not the only design issue these days. We also have to reform the organisations and newsrooms.
5. Let the sunniest city of Finland embrace for you!
Vasa used to be the sunniest city in Finland many, many years, but now Oulu has taken its place. Oulu is situated 600 kilometres north of Helsinki, on the coast of Gulf of Bothnia.
6. And finally: Take a nap!

Some facts about Kaleva and Oulu:
Kaleva is the fourth biggest daily newspaper in Finland and biggest newspaper in North Finland
Kaleva's daily circulation is 82 000 copies.
Kaleva has 125 employees in the editorial office (350 in the company as a whole).
Oulu has 130 000 inhabitants.
Oulu is the city of high technology companies. Technopolis Oulu is a unique cluster of some 4 000 top experts, with almost two hundred companies working closely together. The area is one of the most important centers of technological development in Finland. VTT (the Technical Research Center of Finland) and the University of Oulu are in its immediate vicinity.
University of Oulu has six faculties and 17 000 students.
